Stephen's Picksby Stephen Thompson, posted on Tue, Jan. 13, 2009
I was 3-1 over the weekend for picking the winners in the NFL Playoffs.   You should keep in mind that I also picked the Thunder with the points 7.5 against the Nets for Monday.   The Thunder covered with a score of 99 and the Nets getting 103.  My second game was the Raptors against the Celtics.   The Sportsbook was giving the Raptors 11 point at game time.    The final score was Celtics 115 and the Raptors 109.   So I covered.

Tonight my big pick is with the Suns and Hawks.

The Suns have a great starting line up with Steve Nash, Richardson, Grant Hill Amare Stoudemire and Shaq.   The Suns are in Second place in the Pacific conference and they have a good bench.

The Hawks are on a 3 game road series.   The Hawks are injured as a team right now.  Al Horford the 2nd
year Center is out of the Line up for 10 days with a bruised right knee.  Zaza Pachulia will fill in for Al.   Zaza is a good on the boards and averages 5.6 points a game.   He is going to have a long night against Shaq and Robin Lopez.

The Suns are looking good right now and the Hawks are beat up.

Outcome:   Shaq will be at the free throw line all night.    Look for a slow pace game.   The over/under is 212....
