Men Are Leaning Out

It's not just women who are leaning out. And this Father's Day, it's time to admit that society won't let us men have it all.

San Francisco, CA (October 28, 2010) - After a very impressive offensive show in Game 1, the San Francisco Giants were coming off a great high after taking game 1 of the 2010 World Series.  Now the only question to be asked, did they have anything left for game 2?  With this year's series opening with the teams two aces, Cliff Lee and Tim Lincecum, game 1 was scheduled to be a pitching dual.  This was obviously not true.  Instead game 2's starter proved to be having the dual that was expected in game 1; C.J. Wilson for the Rangers and Matt Cain for the Giants.

The dual between the two starters would begin to go their seperate ways in the bottom of the fifth inning when the Giants Edgar Renteria would hit his first post season home run to left field, ending the 0-0 stalemate.  The Giants would score their second run in the bottom of the seventh from a softly hit fly ball off of the bat of Juan Uribe scoring Cody Ross from second.

It was not until the bottom of the eighth inning when the game would be finally broken open.  This is also the inning where the Giants said that their offensive attack was far from over for the series.  As they would score seven more runs all coming with two out.  Two of the runs came on walks with the bases loaded scoring Buster Posey and Nate Schierholtz. Now with the bases still loaded, Edgar Renteria singles to left field knocking in both Cody Ross and Aubrey Huff.  The score was now Texas 0, San Francisco 6.  Hold up though, as the Giants were not done yet.  After a pitching change, the pinch hitter Aaron Rowand would hit for the pitcher's spot.  Rowand would lock things up for the Giants with a bases clearing triple to left-center field, scoring Juan Uribe and Edgar Renteria.  Just for insurance purposes, Andres Toress would double in Aaron Rowand from first base, extending the scoring attack to 9-0 Giants.

The Giants would only allow a single walk in the top half on the ninth inning, thus shutting the door on the Texas Rangers visit to the city by the bay.  Now the venue changes for both teams going into game 3 on Saturday.  The Rangers are heading back to their home park down 2-0 in the 2010 World Series.  Once a favorite to win the series, the question the Rangers will have to ask themselves is, Are the Giants bats still going to be alive in the Lonestar State.  Game 3 of the 2010 World Series takes place tomorrow in Arlington, Texas at 4:00pm PT with the pre-game starting at 3:30pm PT on FOX in high defintion where available.
