So LONG horns

By Omarr Smith posted on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 @ 2:29 PM - (General)

What a great game we all saw last saturday between #1 Texas vs. #7 Texas Tech. Not very many people thought the Red Raiders could pull off the upset, but they did. AND I CALLED IT!!!!!

Keys to the upset=

Tech D getting a HUGE safety to start the game and then adding a field goal.
Tech D finding a way to get pressure on McCoy while only rushing 4 and dropping 7 into coverage.
Texas WR's dropping balls J. Shipely dropped 3 balls 1 for a touchdown and another on a crucial 3rd down/ Cosby also dropped a few catchable balls.
Colt McCoy had been completing 81% of his passes....against Tech he went 20 for 34  (58%) can't win with those numbers.
Tech O established the running game early with Batch and Woods they combined for over 100 yards. T.Tech offense was 2 dementional all game.
Tech O-Line did a great job on ORAKPO and KINDLE. That o-line locked down the longhorn front 7.

KEY-STAT 1min before halftime TOTAL YARDS Texas 21 vs. Texas Tech 326!!!!!!! Wow

The inexperince of the Longhorn secondary really showed against T. Tech they had no answer for Crabtree, Britton, and Lewis.

Great Game!!!!!

Texas Fan don't be to disapointed because the longhorns have a great chance to get into the title game. All they have to do is win out and hope the Texas Tech can manage to lose 2 games.  That's not likely but it can happen with Oklahoma State this weekend and a trip to Norman, Oklahoma in two weeks.
