Comeback Weekend

By Omarr Smith posted on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 @ 9:11 PM - (General)

What weekend in college football. For a weekend with no marque games their still were some intrigue. I like to this weekend "COMEBACK WEEKEND."

The game isn't over until the FAT LADY sings.

Fifth, Notre Dame was up 27-7 with 5 min left in the game and let Navy comeback and cut the lead to 6 points. ND took out Clausen and Navy recovered 2 on-side kicks.

Fourth, Minnesota was 21-7 in the 2nd qtr to Wisconsin. The Minnesota went to sleep in the second half and allowed the Badgers to score 28 pts.  Final score Wisc 35- Minn-28. (GOpher Figure).

Third, FAU goes up on Louisiana Lafayette 40-7 with 13:07 left in the game. The Rajun Cajuns get their act together and reel off three straight TD's and a two point conversion. Final Score 40-29.

Second, Pac 10 battle Oregon jumps on the Arizona Wildcats early and often opening up a 48-17 can of butt-whippin in the 3rd quarter.  The Cats from the dessert didn't give up and scored  4 straight TD's and completely stunned the Oregon Duck crowd. Oh boy were they scared.... lucky they scored a late TD or it would it have one of the biggest comebacks in Pac 10 history.

First, #20 LSU played Troy (from the Sun Belt conference) in Baton Rouge. Troy comes out and stuns the LSU faithful by contoling the game for three quarters and leading LSU 31-3 late in the third.  I guess Les Miles lit a fire under his troops because they scored a remarkable 30 points in the in the 4th qtr alone. I could only imagine what people would have said about LSU as well as the SEC if Troy was able to pull that game out. Im sure the trigers didn't want to find out as well.
