Nowhere (fast)

By Gerrie Burke posted on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 @ 4:33 PM - (General)
Last night, I went to bed with a book.  Granted, not as much fun as going to bed with a 29 year old blonde, but why bore you with my problems?
In any event, this book, The Psychology of Man's Possible Evolution, by Russian psycholgist and philosopher, Peter Oespensky, deals with the four levels of consciousness to be attained by man.  Levels One and Two, no big deal.  A mustard jar can attain Level One, and as far as Level Two goes;  hell, Townsend and I are at Level Two.  (just to show you how easy it is)
     Level Three, unlikely.
Level Four?  You attain Level Four, you are a topic in an article in the New England Journal of Medicine as you toil away in some institution, having recently been delivered there via The Disoriented Express.
I mention this only because Ol' Towny Ballgame has been getting on my case to blog more frequently, and I have absolutely NOTHING to write about.  I thought, "What the hell.  I'll just mention my lack of a social life has me reading obscure Russian philosophers, and see where it goes."
Well, I wrote that last sentence about twenty minutes ago, and it appears that, much like my social life, this blog, likewise, is going nowhere, fast.
I mean, I could start making reference points to major league baseball teams that are going nowhere, (fast) but I really like Townsend, and what good would it do to Chris' psyche, or society in general for that matter, to make mention that, much like his beloved Chargers, his equally beloved Padres are going nowhere.  (fast)  That notwithstanding, we at The Chris Townsend Show will continue to "Fear the Friar."   Even if it does tend to get us laughed at in bars.
Oh, and speaking of bars;  I am off to one.  I realize after doing a word count, that I have typed my required amount of words as delegated by Le Grande Fromage himself.  (That'd be Chris)  Feel free to suggest tips as to how I could improve my current situation, and there IS a finders fee for anyone who mails me a 29 year old blonde.
One thing.  Make sure to take time from your busy day to "Fear the Friar."  But do it quickly, as it appears they, like myself,  are heading nowhere.  (fast)

Okay, Denise. You got me. However, just for old time's sake, drop me a line. Refresh my memory. I mean, you have to realize that not only do I not remember things from 25 years ago, but, and you can ask Townsend about this one; I don't remember what I did 25 MINUTES ago. Now, I normally don't do this, but email me: gerrie_burke@yahoo.com Would love to hear from you.

G-man,
I am sitting at a cyber cafe in the greater Anahiem area (Disneyland Hotel) trying to kill a couple of hours while my kids nap after a long day of rollercoasters, pictures with Mickey and friends, water soaked log rides and a never ending supply of cotton candy for $5 BUCKS a pop. Can I just say that 4 days in the Happiest place on earth is wearing me the F*#@ out and the only thing keeping me going is the smiles on my kids faces and a flask of Vodka that is not close to big enough to last the enire afternoon. The lines for the rides feel just like your Blog (going nowhere fast)! I just thought you would get a kick out of me responding to your blog. Godspeed to you and hang in there when Towny goes all Mr. Big on you. I will try and call in tonight from Disneyland tonight while we are waiting in line for the next big dissapointing ride going nowhere fast.

Gerrie,
If you're the same Gerrie Burke that worked at WSBG in Stroudsburg, I'll be the first to tell all those 29 year old blondes that they are missing out by not finding you!

Footnote: Yes, Denise. This is the same Gerrie Burke.

Gerrie,
Thanks for the response! I'm glad to see you're doing well!
Denise

p.s. I'm sure you have no idea who I am, but I still have my incredibly hot memories with you!! Good luck with finding the perfect 29 year old blonde!!
