Friends. Realty television stars. VH1. Sunday nights. NFL All-Pro wide receivers. Enough said? I don't think so.
It now appears that both Terrell Ownes and Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson will end up together in the same locker room, as teammates. The owner of the Cincinnati Bengals, Mike Brown, stated that he has been in discussion with both Terrell Ownes and his agent Drew Rosenhaus. This is the second going around on having talks of T.O. joining the Bengals. Back in March, the team passed on the opportunity of having Owens join the team then. Now that Owens is still a free agent, they are giving it more thought.
Brown stated at a annual preseason luncheon, "It's up to him. We are talking to him and have some interest."
According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, the team hopes to have a decision by this Wednesday.
Head Coach Marvin Lewis stated, "Carson Palmer, QB, was really impressed with a lot of things Terrell was doing. Carson's comments to me -- I guess the word is they resonate well."
Expressed via Twitter, Ochocinco stated, "I'm outta of the loop now. I expressed my beliefs on why he should be here and that's all I could do, (no.)9 has the real power."
Rosenhaus didn't return messages Monday seeking comments. He also represents Ochocinco, who is entering into his final season of the contract with the Bengals. The team has an option for an additional season in 2011.
